About Us

Watertite Building Services is a dynamic and innovative building services contractor based in the heart of the South West.

From the very start of our journey, excellence in delivery and service has been integral to our life as a company. Watertite was founded in 1987 specialising in high-quality pipework installations. In 2023 Watertite became part of the andwis. Group, bringing together industry-leading technical building service companies to offer multi-service solutions for our clients.

With a team of over 60 in-house employees, ranging from project managers to specialist engineers, we can provide a comprehensive packaged solution for our customers’ building needs – from design to installation, refurbishments and ongoing maintenance.

It’s an approach that has led to sustained growth and exciting new developments for Watertite. With a turnover now in excess of £10 million, our workforce is ever-growing and we are continually seeking to bring the very best people to work alongside us.

Delivery

As a company, Watertite believes in playing to its strengths. With our experienced and directly employed workforce of over 60 staff we are proud to boast over 600 years of Watertite experience and over 1000 years of industry experience. The average service length of our staff is over 10 years. Watertite offer the majority of the disciplines we work in “in-house”. We offer the full range of Mechanical Services, including Heating, Natural Gas, LPG, Oil, Domestic Hot & Cold Water Services, Steam, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Above Ground Drainage, Rainwater & Guttering, and Service & Maintenance to the large domestic, commercial and industrial markets by our own directly employed engineers.

The majority of Watertite's office staff, have worked their way up, from being on the tools to their current managerial positions; which is a fact that we at Watertite are very proud of, and we believe gives us an edge over many of our competitors. It is something that is constantly highlighted as a strong point of our business, by clients and fellow contractors. The 24 full-time staff have an aggregate length of service to Watertite of over 280 years, or an average of just under 12 years service each. We currently employ 40 operatives on the tools, all directly on the books. Of those 40, 17 hold either SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications, spread amongst the 8 ventilation ductworkers, 6 HVAC service engineers, 4 A/C engineers, 19 commercial plumbers/pipefitters/pipefitter welders/installers/assistants, and we also have 3 apprentices.

Team

At Watertite we are very passionate about our team, we also put great emphasis on supporting the future of our industry through our work with apprentices working closely with Yeovil College. At Watertite we like to invest in our team and many of our staff are enrolled on adult learning programmes relevant to their specific roles. All our staff are kept up to date with new technology and regularly undertake product training and CPD training from suppliers and industry experts. We are an incredibly well accredited business and hold certification from industry bodies as well as leading manufacturers.
